 Bad Manners
Nominated for "Best DJ" and
"Best Music Themed Series" for Bassment Thursdays

Interview by Corrine Jensen

1. How would you describe your sound/the music you’re making in 10 words or less?
Heavily bass driven, Rawkus, Hyphy, Offensive, Melodic, Bleeps n' bloops

2. Of all our shows, the one that...
A. people tell me they like the most is:
Our July 2011 with Dpad. The combination of the colaboration with dpad, the kickoff to Sailfest weekend, and all the people attending it just made the night insane. We can't wait to do it even bigger this year!
B. is my favorite to perform is: July again for sure. It was a big month for all of us and helped set the pace for future shows. It really helped us get noticed by people that we wouldn't normally be exposed to the type of music we play.
C. holds the most meaning for me is: Hands down our Feb 2011. The First one, just how it came together and people being receptive. Obviously with out that we wouldn't be where we are now.

3. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
"Hey! You guys should like, do dj'ing together! "

4. What song or album has been stuck on repeat in your life lately?
Fausto: Nero's Album 'Welcome Reality'. It has all the flavors of dancefloor dubstep with big future retro sounds.

Ippokratis: After raiding my old school CD collection i've been listening to this double disc import Jungle CD from Germany circa 1997.

Justin: Stinkahbell - Somethin in your Eye (VIP mix) I think i've been playing in my sets for about the last 5 months.

5. If you could collaborate with any local musician/singer/group/artist who would it be?
After watchin a buunch of The Ocean State Battle League videos on youtube, we'd have to say Erik Lamb

 6. What do you do when you’re not making music?
Fausto and Justin work and Ippo plays Final Fantasy VII

7. What do you think has been your biggest success in the last year?
Our monthly Bassment Thursday series at the Oasis for sure. It's the only reason why we are here doing this interview right now.

8. How did you feel the moment you found out you were up for a Whalie?
Ippo peed himself. Fausto cried. Justin got Ippo new underwear and Fausto some tissues.

9. If you could walk down the ‘red’ carpet with anyone/thing, who/what would it be?

The only way we'd walk down the red carpet would be as Bad Manners, all three of us.

10. How are you going to celebrate post-Whalies?
We're gonna get safe.
