Royale Brothers, The

Probably one of the best rock n' roll bands to ever come out of New London...
 
The sudden death of beloved brother & lead guitarist, Phil Agins, in April 2008, led to the bands unfortunate and untimely demise. Athough bitter-sweet, all surviving members of The Royale Brothers can be found in other current local bands and continue to play on strong with Phil in their hearts: Bobby Crash (drummer) is currently playing in his new band Burnouts From Outer Space and The Matt Gouette Band; Sebastian Coppotelli (rhythym guitar) currently plays in Fatal Film; Dan Burnett (bass) is not currently playing music; and singer Joey "Royale" Macrino continues to write songs & perform with his wife Sarah in the band Get Haunted.

A scholarship has been opened by Phil's family in his name, to The Berklee College of Music for the summer program. There will be a scholarship available each summer starting in 2009. Donations can be made here:
