From the remains of the Gothic group, Dorian James, legendary drummer Bobby Crash (Lead Vocalist) steps up to the microphone, writing, composing, and arranging, his own musical visions, joined by guitar genius Pete Barrera, (ex-Dorian James) Burnouts from Outer Space emulate the sounds of Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, Roxy Music, and The Flaming Lips. Crash embraces his new found role like a new religion, a style reminiscent of an old 1930's crooner, sipping from a glass of Scotch, channeling a being from some distant corner, perhaps in a land beneath the Earth. He hasn't abandoned his drum chair completely, laying down some sweet trance, trip-hop style grooves in the studio for his alter ego to croon along with. Barerra provides a beautiful soundscape of tasteful ambient guitar work, a guitar style that is sought after and unique, Barrera sets a sweet combination vintage sixties meets Sci-Fi as their name suggests.The science is welcoming, and Burnouts from Outer Space succeed in delivering just what their name suggests. The two seem to be confidently settling into their newly formed group, which will feature several of New London's talented musicians as guests on their forthcoming digital and vinyl releases. The group plans to release four E.P.s for 2011, Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.
